I’m a Mum, a teacher and a Painter – in that order at the moment.

My beautiful daughter is my primary creation. I teach art in my home studio, to adults mostly, until I can find the time to paint. I love teaching art. People respond to their art lessons with joy, a sense of growth and pride in their achievements. This, in turn, is very rewarding for me.

My paintings reflect my life: I have an amazing family, I love my garden (even in the drought!) and the beach, I have done lots of self-inquiry and I just love to make art. So my images can range from dads and daughters, mothers and child, florals, esoteric introspective abstracts, to life class figurative works. Lately, I have been tackling watercolour which is quite a challenge to an oil/acrylic painter!

Perhaps the most important aspect of my art is the enjoyment and fulfilment it gives me. And being a teacher allows me to be the eternal student.
